Human Affairs Magazine aims to be the home to photojournalism and documentary photography, showcasing stories from around the world.
We’re currently publishing one photo-essay each week, shared with subscribers via email and hosted on our website for others to see.
We have other plans we want to develop so please consider subscribing to support us on the journey.
There’s a responsibility in telling stories and as such, we hope to be clear on where it is we come from. The list is not exhaustive, nor is it fixed, as we learn and grow we’ll adapt, when necessary developing our constitution.
We strive to be objective, avoiding judgement, merely educating our readers.
We strive to be global, in a world of entangled interdependence.
We strive to be local, getting stories from those who understand them in context.
We strive to be unedited, beyond correcting colour our images show reality.
At Human Affairs we work not with photographers but with storytellers. We want to foster photographic storytelling and support those who contribute to it.
To do this we need your support so please consider subscribing for free and if you can afford it please contribute financially through the subscription.
